Top safety accreditation renewed once again for Isatec Ltd!

Posted on May 17, 2013 by Adam

Isatec Ltd has once again been awarded accreditation from safecontractor!

safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Originally joining the scheme in 2012, Isatec Ltd has made a commitment to ensuring each of our engineers are accredited to a uniform standard.

safecontractor is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, an area where Isatec Ltd has a growing presence.

John Kinge, technical director of safecontractor said, "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."

"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Isatec has done. Their high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector."

"Under the safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website."

Isatec Ltd is pleased to have made the grade once again in 2013; and we look forward to a safe year ahead!

Isatec Ltd offers support and maintainance for Comark IceSpy RL systems!

Posted on October 26, 2011 by Adam

It has come to our attention that there are some misconceptions regarding the status of Comark IceSpy and IceSpy RL systems. Many users are under the assumption that their system is obsolete and must be replaced - this is not technically true. If your provider is no longer offering to support your system, we urge you to contact us to discuss a cost-effective healthcheck or upgrade rather than a complete new system.

IceSpy systems are built to last - The system is still supportable and maintainable - Moreover, new sensors and parts are still available.

One option for people wishing to take advantage of advances in software and technology can discuss with us their options with a view to an upgrade. By using a hybrid-base, IceSpy RL or Comark IceSpy systems can even be compatible with our Sensilla.net Web Reports and Management offering.

If you have a Comark IceSpy or IceSpy RL system, and wish to discuss your options for support, calibration, maintainance or upgrades, Isatec Ltd would be more than happy to discuss your requirements, please contact us for more information.

Sensilla.net - Now Launched!

Posted on January 4, 2011 by Adam

The demands of modern temperature monitoring mean that taking manual recordings of temperature data is no longer an accepted method within many industries. Certainly the MHRA and BRC are keen to improve monitoring of production and storage areas within their respective industries.

Isatec is proud to launch Sensilla.net, an integrated solution for web-based temperature management. Built around easy-to-access archived data and a simple interface, Sensilla.net provides quality control and audit staff with the tools they need to produce reports, configure alarms and remain compliant with their relevant legislation.

In addition to Sensilla hardware, Sensilla.net is compatible with IceSpy System5 and your old Comark or IceSpy RL system can easily be upgraded to use Sensilla.net web-based management.

Posted on April 27, 2010 by Frank

New for 2010, the TRID-30 temperature recorder is ideal for monitoring temperature of goods or stock over a period of time. The device has an integrated temperature sensor, and a unique 30 day screen for immediate review of data. Isatec helps NHS customers to comply with latest National Patient Safety Agency advice

Posted on April 23, 2010 by Frank

A recent report by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA/2010/RRR008) has highlighted the need to store vaccines at the correct temperatures and the dangers of not doing so. Not only is incorrect storage of vaccines wasteful and costly but it can also lead to reduced vaccine effectiveness or even vaccine failures representing a threat to patient safety.

NPSA has issued a call for action by all NHS organisations who hold vaccines in cold storage to be completed by 21st July 2010. Among the actions outlined is the need for "temperatures in refrigerators to be monitored and recorded at least once per working day and documented on a chart". Not only is this time consuming but also prone to human error and forgetfulness. To reduce this risk, one of the strategies outlined in the report's supporting information is the use of electronic monitoring with feedback of storage temperatures.

Many organisations, wishing to take the electronic monitoring route, are finding it to be a daunting task due to their lack of experience in this field. Isatec Ltd, whose customers include leading NHS Trusts, pharmacies, hospital dispensaries, and clinical trials laboratories, can support these organisations with the selection of a suitable system and help reduce the administrative burden on pharmacy staff.

Isatec's products range from simple temperature tags to fully networked or web based systems providing email, SMS or telephone alarms and its team of experienced engineers will install systems on site, and train staff in their use.
